Peanut is a nutritious plant from the nut family known for its health benefits, yet it is a moneymaker that has improved the living standards of peanut dealers. Ranging from farmers to those who do the value addition, peanut has maintained a steady market with increased money value due to its continuous consumption of refined butter or fried nuts. 
       Peanut growers reap benefits by selling their produce to local and international markets, to which they sell at $1.2 per kilogram. Peanuts farming is manageable since peanuts do not use a lot of fertilizers and water; thus, the input needed is on weeding and harvesting. Besides, peanuts nourish the soil, and their residues are good feeds for dairy farmers; therefore, the peanut farmer has nothing to lose. 
        Individuals and businesses that buy peanuts from farmers add value by frying and packaging the nuts in containers sold in shops and supermarkets. Peanuts are also blended into fine butter spread or added to other foods like bread. Grounded peanuts are added to food as natural spices to add taste and nutrients to meals. Peanuts are also a source of protein for children and adults if they are added to porridge.
